Who is responsible

Ishara Astrology ("we", "us") is run by Amandeep Dullat, sole proprietor, operating as Ishara Astrology. We are the "Data Fiduciary" for your personal data under the DPDP Act.

What data we collect

Birth details: name, date, time and place of birth. These are personal data and we treat them with care.
Account data: your email address, language and plan.
VIP list: if you join it, your email address, the plan or product you were interested in, and where on the site you joined. We use it only to email you when paid plans open. Ask us any time to remove you.
Your questions and readings: what you ask Narayan and the answers. If you turn on memory, a short summary of past chats so answers stay relevant.
Payment data: order and subscription status from Razorpay. We do not see or store your full card, UPI or bank details.
Usage data: basic events (for example "reading viewed") and technical logs (IP address, device, errors), used for security and to improve the service. We avoid putting personal details in analytics.

Purpose: why we use it

To make your chart, readings, guidance and reports.
To sign you in and keep your account safe (one-time email codes).
To take payments and manage plans and refunds.
To send emails you need (login codes, receipts, and guidance you asked for).
To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal duties.
To improve quality, using data that does not identify you where possible.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use it for advertising profiles.

Consent

We use your data based on your consent, which you give when you enter your birth details and create an account, and for legal duties such as keeping payment records. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account or writing to us. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before, but we will not be able to give readings without birth details.

Who we share it with (processors)

We share only what each service needs to do its job for us:

Some of these services may process data outside India. We only use providers that protect data, and we follow any limits the Government of India sets on transfers. We may also share data if the law or a court requires it.

How long we keep it (retention)

Account, birth details, readings and chats: while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days after you delete your account.
Login codes: stored only as a scrambled (hashed) value and expire after 10 minutes.
VIP list: until paid plans open and we have emailed you, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever is first; at most 12 months.
Payment and invoice records: kept for up to 8 years, because tax and accounting laws require it.
Security logs: usually up to 90 days, longer only if needed to look into a problem.

How we protect it

Sensitive data such as birth details is encrypted in our database. Access is limited to the few people and systems that need it. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

Your rights

Access: ask what data we hold about you and how we use it.
Correction: fix wrong or incomplete data (you can edit birth details yourself).
Deletion (erasure): delete your account and data.
Withdraw consent at any time.
Grievance: complain to our grievance officer, and then to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.
Nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or cannot act.

Account deletion

To delete your account and data, use the delete option in your account or email support@isharaastrology.com from your account email. We confirm the request and finish deletion within 30 days, except records the law makes us keep.

Children

Ishara is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you are a parent and think your child gave us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and remember your language. We do not use advertising cookies.

Under the IT Rules, 2021 and the DPDP Act, we acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days.
